The History of Canon Copy Machines: Making the Transition from a Basic Optical Lab to a Ever-So-Popular Multimedia Giant

In this article, you are going to learn the history of Canon copy machines, including them making the transition from a basic optical lab to an ever-so-popular multimedia giant. According to the definition that the dictionary provides, the term Canon is defined as a general law, principle, rule or criterion; law or church decree; a member of the cathedral chapter; certain pieces of writings that are accepted as being genuine.

On-the-other-hand, the Canon that I am telling you about is a major company that is well-known for manufacturing products that are user-friendly. In the beginning, Canon was a camera making copy, now it offers a wide variety of other services and products to the world like printers, fax machines, inks and copiers.

The Roots of Canon Copy Machines

In ninety thirty three, Canon' roots were laid with very little employees, and was considered to be a precision lab that used optical instruments. In nineteen thirty three, the laboratory was indeed founded within an apartment on the third-floor of the well-known Takekawaya Building located in Roppongi, which is in the Tokyo Azabu Ward. The main objective on the company was to manufacturer cameras of a high quality.

The company went on to become a renowned company for the making of camera. At the time that it grew and later decided to diversify the business plans a little in order to shed the image of a company that only manufactures camera. In nineteen sixty nine, the top brass of this company made the decision to take on the Canon Inc name. The year nineteen sixty nine was also the exact year that Canon was able to be forayed into different business machines and it eventually turned into a printing business.

In order to go through a very brief chronology of Canon copy machines, Canon was able to successfully develop the laser beam printer during nineteen seventy five. During nineteen eighty two, the PC-20 and PC-10 were the very first personal copying machines within the world that had replaceable cartridges to be introduced. In nineteen ninety three, Canon alongside of IBM Japan LTD, developed the very first notebook personal computer to the world that had an installed printer.

One of the most interesting discoveries that were made by Canon within the printing technology field was indeed the technology of bubble jet printing. While all of the researchers were working on the technology of inkjet printing, they hit upon the discovery of when a hot solder gun was accidentally touched at the very tip of the needle that was filled within ink which caused the ink to spray out.

As result, all of the researchers concluded that they could use heat instead of pressure to eject all of the ink onto the media. Overall, the Canon copy machines are truly out of this world amazing and extremely convenient.
